Small fraction of the municipality of Truccazzano in the province of Milan
Corneliano Bertario probably dates back to the Roman age.
Of considerable interest is the presence of the Borromeo Castle, a fortified building built several times from about 1385, originally owned by the Visconti in the fourteenth century, it was donated to the Brolo Hospital in Milan, around 1700 it became the property of the Bigli family and finally it became the property of the Borromeo family.

In the village there are numerous historic rural buildings.

In the Corneliano area there is also the Borromeo Reserve, an area of 220 hectares that was once the hunting reserve of the Borromeo family. The area, closed to the public, is located in the floodplain of the Adda and often undergoes flooding from the river which, together with reforestation and repopulation of typical species, contribute to maintaining the flora and fauna characteristic of the Po valley.
