The Talmühle (valley mill) dating from 1709 was city-owned, unbanned (meaning without special territorial privileges), open to outside customers, and had two grinding mills and one tanning mill. It was leased to existing millers and was purchased in 1783 by the Auch miller family, who still own and operate the city mill at Hauptstraße 14 today.

Very close to the Gochsheim stop you will find this mill from 1709, which belonged to the city until 1783. The mill wheel is still there, but no longer in operation. There is also a beautiful path that leads next to the stream to the old town.
