The Buchenbachtal is a nature reserve, which also means that no fallen trees are removed. There is also no mobile path along the stream in the lower Buchenbachtal (near the mouth of the Murr), the bike has to be partially carried while walking in the stream over stones on the edge of the stream . I think the Buchenbachtal highlight with a bike is out of place and misleading. As of September 2023, it is not passable: fallen trees with rhizomes in the stream and upper branches on the steep slope are almost impassable; two bridges closed, one even dismantled. My first bike highlight that I give a thumbs down.
