One of my few "arterial roads" to and from Dresden. A scenic route through the Lockwitz Valley. The road is usually not quite as calm, but in my view it is a very pleasant route to ride a racing bike out of Dresden or into Dresden. Maybe because the cars here are usually not that fast. From Dresden it is a slight climb, after Dresden the slight slope gets the bike going.

The asphalt, the incline and the landscape are great in both directions. However, the car traffic is quite heavy depending on the time (commuter AND tourist route). Since the road is not very wide, cars have to drive straight uphill behind you, which 1. can annoy cyclists and 2. drivers always;) Tight overtaking maneuvers with a howling engine are guaranteed. Therefore, it is best to avoid the road in rush hour traffic or in the morning when the weather is nice on weekends / holidays.
