About 250 meters east, at an old crossroads, is the tomb chapel of August Freiherr von Kruse († 1848) and his wife Henriette, née von Dungern († 1873). The small memorial chapel in the Romanesque round arch style with gable and wall pedicules consists of a small prayer room and the death chamber with the coffins on the back of the building. The walls show imitation cuboid joints on smooth stone.

In the first chapel built there was an altar with the image of "souls in purgatory", which gave today's chapel and this section of the hall its name "Purgatory".
On Ascension Day, this chapel is still the target of a procession by the Catholic community in Eisenbach. This tradition probably goes back to the Friday alms given by Baroness Henriette von Kruse for poor Eisenbachers. She and her husband Lieutenant General Baron von Kruse are buried in the chapel. A later owner also found her final resting place there.
