The water of the Deilbach itself provided the energy to initially drive mills and hammer mills. The valley itself has always served as an important connection route for the transport of the goods and connection between the Ruhr Valley and Wuppertal/Solingen.
Numerous relics of the landscape and industrial history at the original site between Kupferdreh and Kidney Court bear witness to the agricultural, then commercial, mining and industrial use of the valley.
