Information for those with a head for heights:
The paths through the trees are not elevated but are suspended rope structures. This causes vibrations from visitors and the wind. As long as you are moving, you hardly notice this. When standing, however, you can clearly see the swaying, and children running around making this even worse.
You can already notice this on the access stairs, which lead up to 26 meters above the ground without a single support, while you can see through the open risers.
Alternatively, you can also get to the top of the tower by elevator!

40 meters above the ground, you can experience the world from a bird's eye view, with a wonderful panoramic view of the Alps and the Lake Constance region. If you want, you can walk over the wobbly bridge at a height of 15 meters and whizz down the tube slide back to the forest floor. There is an obstacle course for young people and adults, a barefoot path and a large adventure playground - no one will get bored here. More information at: skywalk-allgaeu.de.

These trails often lead to other viewpoints or natural features, allowing you to extend your outdoor adventure.

Is the Skywalk Allgäu Baumwipfelpfad accessible via public transport?

While the Skywalk Allgäu is located in a natural setting, it is generally accessible by public transport, though it might require a combination of train and bus. How long does a typical visit to Skywalk Allgäu Baumwipfelpfad take?

The duration of a visit can vary depending on your pace and how much you engage with the various attractions. Walking the 540-meter treetop path itself might take 30-60 minutes. What is the policy for visiting Skywalk Allgäu Baumwipfelpfad with dogs?

Dogs are generally welcome in the ground-level areas of the Skywalk Allgäu park, provided they are kept on a leash. What should visitors with a fear of heights know about the treetop path?

The treetop path is a suspension bridge that can sway slightly, especially with wind or many visitors. The access stairs also have open risers, which might feel exposed. However, a glass elevator provides a barrier-free alternative directly to the 40-meter-high observation tower, allowing those with a fear of heights to still enjoy the panoramic views without navigating the stairs or the full swaying sensation of the bridge.

While it's open year-round, strong winds, heavy rain, or thunderstorms might lead to temporary closures for safety. In winter, snow can create a magical atmosphere, but ensure you dress warmly. Always check the local weather forecast and the Skywalk's official website for any operational updates before your visit.
