            You have to know that the Großer Bärenstein is not prepared for tourism. So there are no steps, stairs or railings. But it offers a lot of wild trails, discovery and climbing opportunities. The climb over the transom staircase was pretty fun in the rain with the slippery stones (afterwards). But I would have been alone there, if only because of the difficult entry, if it hadn't been for a family with children (!).

              At first I couldn't find the climb to the Großer Bärenstein because there were no signs. Only then did I read that it doesn't exist. So I'll do it again. Coming from Rauenstein shortly before the end of the forest (before turning left to Kleiner B.), the climb to the right was easy to find.
              It may be that the Big B. is not that busy... But not when I'm out and about... There was a larger, funny (alcoholic) group out and about and felt alone in Saxon Switzerland.😡 But wonderful views. I'll try again in 2022 so I can enjoy it too.

                I almost ran past it, but then I spotted a little kid, what had climbed there. So I ventured and climbed the crevice, over larger boulders (were a little heaped up like huge stairs with numerous holes to stop with hand and foot). It's really doable and I'm not a mountaineer. Do something carefully and well. At the top you will be rewarded with a sensational view. But beware, I got dirty on the descent, so try not to climb this rock with the best clothes.
