Nice hike from Eppenbrunn, this leads after a short but crisp ascent to the Eppenbrunner Teufelstisch, which is not with the much more famous Hinterweidenthaler
Devil's table may be confused.
The hike can be started directly from the Hotel Kupper and the Teufelstisch can be reached on a direct, short but steep ascent. Or you can walk around 9 km long, also from the Hotel Kupper, and incorporate the devil's table into it.
The hotel restaurant Kupper, which offers a beautiful beer garden and very good cuisine, is ideal for a stop.

The Devil's Table of Eppenbrunn is a striking mushroom rock in the German part of the Wasgau, the southern Palatinate Forest. The rock formation is located 15 km southwest of the larger and far more famous Devil's Table of Hinterweidenthal, which also has the more impressive "table shape".
Another such rock is the Devil's Table of Salzwoog, 10 km northeast of Eppenbrunn. There are more than 20 such mushroom rocks in the Palatinate Forest, although all of them are much smaller than the three mentioned. Such strikingly shaped rocks are quite common, especially in the Dahner Felsenland, as the region to the east is called.
The Devil's Table in the forest area of the municipality of Eppenbrunn stands at 351 m above sea level, a good 200 m southwest of the highest point (358.3 m) of a long ridge. From the western end of Eppenbrunn to the Devil's Table, it is 600 m along a fairly steep footpath, with a height difference of 70 m.
The Devil's Table in Eppenbrunn, like its "big brother" in Hinterweidenthal, is a red sandstone rock that is reminiscent of a one-legged table. Erosion has eroded the softer surface components surrounding it, while the hard rock core remained. A stone "table top" now lies across a massive "table base".
The Devil's Table in Eppenbrunn is 11 m high, to which the rocky base is sometimes added, resulting in a total height of 12 to 13 m.
