Here at Klein Rönnau the Rönne flows into the Großer Segeberger See. A stone bridge leads hikers and cyclists safely across the Rönne. There are beautiful lake views from the bridge.
The Rönnau flows under the small stone bridge. It flows out of the lake and has been operating a watermill in Klein Rönnau since 1342. This has been restored and can be visited. To get to the mill, follow the path next to the stream. Until 1939 there was a weir at the bridge with which the miller could build up the lake. After the weir had been dismantled, the fishermen installed a metal fish trap in front of the drain to prevent the fish from migrating. There were always arguments about the height of the traffic jam. So, on the sea side behind the bridge, a stone was placed in the water with a carved notch, which indicates the maximum dam height.
