The Munros around Loch Monar are some of the most remote in the country and while the effort required to conquer them is great, the rewards are even greater. Maoile Lunndaidh is one such mountain, hiding its charms from all but the most determined adventurers.

The most common way to Maoile Lunndaidh is via the forestry road from Craig on the A890. You can seek accommodation along the road or in Lochcarron. Achnashellach station is handily placed for public transport.

Maoile Lunndaidh is a 3,304-foot (1,007 m) Munro in the Scottish Highlands. It lies to the north of Loch Monar. I hiked it to and from the small bothy on the Glenuig estate as part of a multi-day peak bagging expedition, climbing 6 Munros in the area. Fuar-tholl Mor cuts a deep, steep gash into the middle of Maoile Lunnadaidh which makes for dramatic viewing.
