Rohrkopfhütte

A "must" for every hiker.

We had a fantastic meal here after a strenuous climb and challenging descent. The food is a bit more expensive (Kaiserschmarn at just under 15 euros), but the portions are adequate and super tasty.

Hiking trails that give reason to pause and be amazed. Whether in the morning mist or during a short summer rain shower, on some trails nature enchants in a unique way. On the culture trail Schutzengelweg to Rohrkopfhütte (about 1 hour) you always have a wonderful view of the castles Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau and the Alpine foothills.

On this way you will find interesting facts about the ice ages, geology, culture and history, everything explained on display boards. Arriving at the hut invites the cozy room or the beautiful panoramic terrace overlooking the valley to stop. And what is more beautiful on a hike than a cozy stop. Here you strengthen yourself extensively with a hearty snack, Allgäu delicacies and cool drinks. Alternatively, you can reach the hut via the rotary hut trail, which takes about 1.5 hours.
