One of my favorite places in the Siebengebirge. It is always nice to enjoy the view of the Mount of Olives from there and to see the linden tree as the seasons change.

The Heiligenhäuschen Hartenberg is a small chapel on the chapel hike, which connects the chapels in the Pleiser Ländchen in 12 stages over a total of 42 km.

There is an information board nearby that tells the history of the chapel: "The mighty linden tree seems to literally protect the Heiligenhäuschen Hartenberg. The chapel and tree are listed as historical monuments, both have experienced a lot. As older villagers reported, there used to be a shelter here for Wagoners. The owner Adolf Meurer senior and his family converted it into a chapel around 1905 out of gratitude for surviving a cattle epidemic. At the same time, the linden tree was planted.
