The northwestern part of the path is now closed. The reason: a primeval forest is developing here. This means that dead trees can fall over without warning. Only a few paths are kept free. This part of the Bienwald is developing more and more into a beautiful but also dangerous forest.
After a long period of drought, the stream dried up completely in autumn 2020.

A path used to go along the entire Aschbach waterfront; today this is only possible for a short distance; the western part of the former path is now permanently closed.
There are also some other paths (including gravel paths) in the Bienwald that have been removed or made unusable and so it can be that you are suddenly in the middle of the forest and can't get any further and have to turn back. Unfortunately, these paths are not (yet) updated on all maps.
