"𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗺ü𝗵𝗹𝗲"

The "Thielenmühle" is named after a former owner (in the first maps it was called "Hornißmühle"). Built as a grain mill around 1680, it was - like many other mills - initially privately owned. In 1907, however, it became a cooperative mill with 20 partners. In 1947 the milling operation had to be stopped because the corrugated beam to which the water wheel is attached broke. The comrades at that time sold the mill and then built a new electric mill in Monzelfeld. Another mill was once housed in today's house, an oil mill, in which the surrounding farmers had the rapeseed ground into oil. After the conversion and expansion of the residential building, a restaurant was opened for the first time in 1961. Source: text information board
