There was a lively interesting descent for a couple of kilometres to a mud castle nestled in the hills, where Natalia’s tyre really needed a more permanent fix. On arrival, we tried once more to reset the tubeless setup but failed. So we stripped it off and put in a tube.
We were then asked in for tea by the Berber family there, (Hussain), shared bread, nuts and mint tea with the family elders and Hussain, with all of the collected cousins and children watching on. This was really lovely, the family were so open and welcoming, and genuinely interested in us.

I’m not sure they believed us when we told them in halting French that there were 200 cyclists racing through their back garden in February on AMR2020.
