Small but gezellig park along the outer-canal. Park is surrounded by a small lap of 250meter and perfect for doing some exercises.

Park Lepelenburg is a lively park on the edge of Utrecht's old city center. It's part of the larger Zocherpark and a popular spot for picnics, sports, and enjoying the sun.

History

Originally, Lepelenburg was a house on this site, but right next to it, in the 16th century, an earthen fortification was built as part of Utrecht's defenses. Around 1860, landscape architect Jan David Zocher Jr. transformed the fortification into the current park.

Events
Today, the park, with its green lawns, bandstand, and children's playground, is a popular spot among locals. On warm days, young and old flock to the park with picnic blankets and barbecues, thoroughly enjoying this beautiful spot.

Park Lepelenburg also regularly hosts lively events, live music, and theater.
