You can start at the parking lot of the Galgenberg to Villmar.
There is a shelter and a barbecue area.
From here it goes along the tree line towards Wolfenhausen.
Keep the forest on the left and the Laubusbach valley on the right and follow the path marked "AHS" on the "Alte Heer Straße". This leads from Villmar to Laubuseschbach, and a part branches off at Wolfenhausen to Elkerhausen.
We walked the way to the "old man" pit just before Langhecke. Then in a northerly direction, following the Leistenbach valley, through long hedges and at the end of town in a westerly direction through the forest, you come back to the starting point. The route is 12.5 kilometers in about 3 hours.
In Langhecke there is the possibility to stop at the inn "Zum Grünen Wald".
