The Moni Agiou Nikolaou Sintzas (Greek: Μονή Αγίου Νικολάου Σίντζας Moní Agíou Nikoláou Síntzas; "Monastery of Saint Nicholas at the Fig Tree") is a monastery above the town of Leonidi in the Peloponnese in Greece. It is located in a cave on a steep slope of a 764 meter high mountain. Above the cave there used to be a large fig tree, called syntza in the Tsakonian dialect of the locals, from which the toponymic part of the name of the monastery is derived. The monastery was first mentioned in 1622. In 1810 it was converted into a women's abbey. Around 1920 a concrete road was built from Leonidio to the monastery.

Exhausting - but fantastically beautiful! The only resident living there, a nun, gave us oranges, a banana and sweets😘👍!

The rock monastery of Agios Nikolaos hangs like a swallow's nest in the rock. It is located about 500 meters above Leonidion.
From the inside of the monastery courtyard you have a beautiful view of Leonidion and the path covered. It is impressive to sit under the overhanging rock. Very beautiful is the altar in the well-kept church of St. Nikolaos.
