The castle on the left bank of the Rhine Stolzenfels is the lady among the castles. It was destroyed by the French and rebuilt from 1836 to 1842 by the architect Schinkel for the Prussian king Friedrich Wilhelm IV. A visit with sightseeing should definitely be planned. Not only the architecture inspires but also the interior design and the castle garden. From the castle garden the view sweeps on Lahnstein and on a part of Koblenz.
