The Junkersmühle in the Deimerbach Valley was a mill under the Uhler Bann until the Napoleonic era. It was first documented in 1733 as the "Lauxenmühle" (after its then owner, Laux). Around 1800, Johann Nicolaus Junker, the first miller in the Junker family, took over the grain mill, and it remains in their family ownership today.

In addition to the old mill building, which still remains in its original condition, the newer mill was converted into a modern residential building in 1928, in which the Junker family now operates an inn and excursion café.

The menu offers inexpensive drinks and light meals. Dishes up to the Wiener Schnitzel with side dishes cost under €10, while only the Schnitzel with sauces and the Hunsrück Spießbraten cost up to €12. So, you can eat and drink inexpensively.

Off-peak hours offer a snack menu with bread, salad, and hot sausages. The regular menu is available in the evenings (from around 5:00 PM) and Sunday lunchtimes. It's best to call Ms. Junker in advance at +49 6762 8453.
