When the hot days of summer roll around, nothing’s better than a refreshing hike and, in the Jura & Three-Lakes region, we’ve got just the thing. This Collection is themed around water in all its glory. You’ll cool off in shady gorges, dive into rivers or take a boat trip on the lake. Whether it’s marvelling at the majesty of a sparkling lake or thundering cascade, or taking the time to enjoy an invigorating wild swim, water plays a major part in all these routes.
Unique and diverse experiences await, such as at the secluded upland lake of Etang de la Gruère, or the Saut du Doubs waterfall, where the water cascades for 89 feet (27 m) over rocky steps. You can anticipate vast vistas from the ridges of the Franches-Montagnes and enjoy delightful viewpoints high above the lakes. You’ll discover rustic wine growing villages and many places to sample local food and drink. At such establishments, you can often try fresh fish dishes sourced from the rivers and lakes visited on your hikes.
