                      When the tower is open again after Corona, you should definitely climb up and enjoy the great view. There are many beautiful trails for MTB, but they are becoming more and more crowded as word has gotten around that MTB riding is good here in the Hinsbeck Heights.

                                The fen lying on the slope of the Taubenberg is made up of bushes with reeds, riding grass, pipe grass, bog lilies, sundews, peat mosses, heath species and pine trees. It offers, among other things, a habitat for wood lizards, field warblers and the rare stonechat.

                                The Gagel, also called heather myrtle, blueberry myrtle, tanner myrtle, Brabant myrtle in the Netherlands, Gruit or Grut on the Lower Rhine, only occurs in coastal regions in Europe from Portugal to Norway. The small shrub, up to 2 m high, is tied to moist to wet, nutrient-poor soils and forms small, spherical stone fruits. Its brown bark provided a sought-after tanning agent and its flower buds were used for yellowing.
