In 2007, the municipality of Bäk, situated on Lake Ratzeburg, established a cultural and historical path. On richly illustrated information boards with successful contributions to the words, the short version of the church chronicle is presented vividly.
On the approximately 1.5 km long hike you can enjoy the local history and the peculiarities of the local nature.

The nine panels contain z. B. Information on ecclesiastical and communal history and the industrial watermill era. Also presented is the special border situation of the municipality in the post-war period. In November 1945, a territorial exchange between the British and Russian occupying powers (Barber-Lyashenko Agreement) made it possible for the Mecklenburg Bäk to have a future in Schleswig-Holstein.

But also the flora and fauna and geology in the copper mill valley are vividly described.
An important topic is landscape change. Thus, information is provided on the plantation of a meadow orchard and the nature-based management of the areas in the Mühlenbach Valley, which is carried out by the municipality of Bäk. This measure is intended to secure valuable old and deadwood stocks.

The boards start at the pier at the Domsee, a part of the Ratzeburg lake. There, the viewer has a wonderful panoramic view of the church church local church Bäk's, the Ratzeburg Cathedral. About the Papengang the path leads through the copper mill valley, the municipal roads on slope and Schlagsdorfer way to almost the municipal boundary of the mother community Mechow.
