From the rustic canal bridge you have great views of the Lanzer See. Unfortunately, it is getting on in years and will soon be replaced by a new building.

It is planned to replace the road bridge from 2022 and to open it to traffic in 2024. But unlike the bridge at Buchhorst, the bridge at Basedow is not to be rebuilt in the same place. In order to keep traffic to the campsite and the restaurant open, it was possible to plan the replacement building about 15 meters south of the existing route. It is thus possible that the existing bridge will continue to be used for the duration of the construction period.

Shortly after Lauenburg, the Buchhorst canal bridge is being renewed. The section on the Elbe-Lübeck Canal must be bypassed on the country road without a cycle path to Basedow.
