      The Skjern Green Corridor, in Danish “Den Grønne Korridor”, runs approximately 5 km along Kirkeå through the town of Skjern from Skjern Birk Plantage in the east to Skjern Enge in the west, until it reaches the Ganer River and follows it to its confluence with the Skjern River.
      The Green Corridor is spread across five urban areas:
      • Skovkanten (the "Forest Edge") with horses and animals, lakes, and trails to Skyggehus Dam and Skjern Birk Plantation

      • Anlægget (the "Parks") with a picturesque pond, flowers and trees, a stage, and areas for games and activities
      • Urskoven (the "Primeval Forest"), a nature area with wilderness, birds, a lake, a viewpoint, and a sledding hill.

      The corridor features an extensive system of trails
      and information boards have been installed at various points, providing maps, information on the area's history, nature, and possible activities.

      Also worth mentioning are the beautiful, renovated bridges and the 50 artistically designed birdhouses.
