The Herzog-Johann-Hospital (Danish Hertug Hans Hospitalet) is a post-Reformation foundation in the northern Schleswig town of Hadersleben. It is located immediately south of the old town outside the mill gate.
It was created in 1569 when the then sovereign Duke Johann the Elder amalgamated the assets of several medieval foundations.
The Hospital Church is now the Protestant parish church for the southern part of the city, while the church now makes up the east wing of the building. Since 1969 it has had a roof turret again as a bell carrier.
The church and hospital were extensively renovated by 2006. Today the church serves as an annex church to the Marienkirche and is the parish church for the southern parish. The ancillary buildings now serve the community after the last residents moved out in 1989. Only the southern administrator building is inhabited.

It wasn't a luxury stay, but they had a roof over their heads and could avoid begging. There was also a church room so they could access the church.

The conditions for the residents improved very slowly, and the Hertug Hans Hospitalet functioned as an old people's home from 1569 to 1983.

After a thorough renovation in the late 1980s, Haderslev Domsogn now uses the hospital for meeting rooms, etc. The church has weekly services and other church activities.
