The original Black Forest mill is quietly and idyllically located in a side valley of the Nagold, between Unterreichenbach and the climatic health resort of Schömberg in the Calw health and spa district.

The hotel with restaurant and the grain mill with oil mill and rapeseed oil filling station.
Comfort and nostalgia are connected in the traditional operation of the mill. As early as 1260, the property was mentioned in a document as a grinding mill. Since 1873 the owners have borne the name Mönch. In 1874 the Fuhrmannsschänke was granted the license to serve.

An oak support beam at the reception bears witness to the year 1692. Owner Eckhard Mönch is now the sixth generation to work in the family business as a master miller and took over the mill from his father Günther Mönch in 2003.

In 1963 the grinding mill was moved from the main building to another building on the property. Since then, the original mill building has been used as a hotel and restaurant. As a tourist attraction, the large wooden mill wheel with a diameter of 7 m is reminiscent of times gone by when water power was still the only source of energy.
