Your ninth stage begins once again at the foot of Hermann the Cheruscan. Here you descend from the Grotenburg and thus leave the Teutoburg Forest. The path initially leads through wooded terrain and passes the ruins of Falkenburg, a medieval hilltop castle, of which ramparts and foundations still remain

It feels like you've only just started, and already the final leg along the Hermannshöhen trail is upon you. Your destination is Marsberg on the gently flowing Diemel River. The route there is characterized by a mix of forest, open fields, and small settlements.



You leave the tranquil town of Blankenrode

The twelfth stage covers just under 20 kilometers and around 300 meters of elevation gain and loss. This makes it one of the more challenging sections of the tour. However, the route is rewarded with diverse scenery and attractive views.

On the eighth stage, the Teutoburg Forest reveals its typical low mountain range character. While the bark beetle has left its mark in many places, new vistas open up. From Oerlinghausen, the trail leads directly uphill to the ridge path.

The seventh stage of the Hermannshöhen trail begins at Sparrenburg Castle in Bielefeld. The route continues along the promenade, offering fantastic views over the city.

At the start of the sixth stage, you'll begin your ascent in Halle (Westphalia) to the marked hiking trail. After a final look at yesterday's destination, the tour can begin.



Today's route follows the relatively narrow ridge entirely. With no significant changes in elevation, you'll hike comfortably through

Refreshed and ready to go, you begin your hike in Dissen. The trail initially climbs uphill, passing the Luisenturm tower, which offers a panoramic view of the Ravensberg region and is a perfect spot for a short break, before continuing to the small town of Borgholzhausen.



From there, you follow the Hermannsh
