Had this been our first leg on the E9 today, we would never have considered hiking it... Once again, we were thwarted by the dike 😣 A fence had been erected because sheep were on the dike, and ultimately, a gate was locked, right next to the sign indicating that the Way of St. James and the E9 pass

From Kollmar onwards, the path along the dike is no longer a problem 😅
The sheep remained relaxed as we passed by with Simba.
Simba's highlight was once again chasing the waves, and so we arrived safely in Glückstadt.
Glückstadt is a pretty little town steeped in tradition!
The path then led us to the Elbe

It started off great, always along the Krückau River, beautiful 😊
Elmshorn, including the pedestrian zone, then a park by the Krückau – a lovely stretch!
But then we were supposed to continue on the dike, and that's impossible 😣

Once again, beautiful hiking trails through the fields, through the Rantzauer Forest, and along the Krückau hiking trail. The weather is autumnal again, with a bit of everything, even a tiny bit of sunshine 😅
