Through the Reissenbach Valley, past Schafhaus, Nebelhöhle, and Goldloch to Gießstein. Descent to the TSVO sports club and on into the Reissenbach Valley.
It's simply more beautiful when the snow crunches under every step in January

As always at the turn of the year, Komoot members met at the old linden tree in Hildrizhausen. Despite the cold – I started out at -5°C 🥶 – there were still a pleasingly large number of people there. The buffet was also plentiful.
So we chatted a bit and met some new people.
It was great!

A varied short loop through the Arbach Valley, to the Ernsthütte, Übersberg, and Mädlesfels. Then on to Johannsruh, Johannstrail, and Uhusteigle back to the starting point.
The weather was okay ☀️, the ground was frozen solid throughout, so with few slippery patches, it was great for riding.

A quick pre-Christmas visit to Pejo's "Frosty Party". The approach was a bit of an adventure, as the lumberjacks had literally done a thorough job 🤦. But it was worth the effort – met up with some acquaintances, chatted a bit, had some 🍺 & 🥩, and headed home in the dark.
