Today I used my trusty old Backfire tire again because the rear rim on the "green" bike has a crack and needs replacing 😡
Due to the weather, I went for another ride on asphalt and was surprised to find that the old Backfire is running great 👍

Today's J.M. cyclists' night ride was planned for the Greek restaurant at the Honau sports club – but surprise: it was closed even though the opening hours indicated it should have been open 😡.
So, we went to the Rössle as an alternative, and instead of gyros, we had Wusa – which wasn't too bad either 👍

After the last somewhat slippery loop on the Swabian Alps, I deliberately chose a snow- and ice-free route today. It worked out well for the most part 👍 However, there was a construction site near Engstingen for about 300 meters, and that was enough to get completely covered in mud 😡.
So no snow today

First Alpine test of 2026 in beautiful weather ☀️ via the Göllesbergsteige to the Rutschenfelsen, Rohrauer Hütte, Ohnastetten, and the old railway line.
In the shade, it was quite slippery and icy in places, making it only partially suitable for biking – however, I rode most of it in the sunshine

Well, that's it again. Four wonderful days in Oberstaufen at the Berghaus Buchenegg have come to an end in Balderschwang, under perfect weather conditions ☀️.
As always, it was a bit hectic with 13 people and some long evenings in the mountain hut 🍺🤣, but also some great days of skiing and hiking.
So, see you again in 2027! 👍
