Winter has arrived in the Sauerland region. Time to get out into the snow!
Ten minutes before reaching the summit, the sun was shining and the sky was blue. But up there, a blizzard hit and temperatures were freezing. So, it was a quick dash back down to the sheltered forest.

Inspired by @Silke 🌞, I waited for the perfect day for this hike.
Today was the day! At -4 degrees Celsius and under a starry sky, I set off from the forest cemetery in Freienohl. I reached the Küppel Tower just in time for sunrise.
