Today there wasn't the typical Odenwald dish "cooked cheese schnitzel".
That's why we, Hans and I, drove to Schlierbach, south of Lindenfels, to the creperie "la Chouette"

I rode this lap with friends a good 20 years ago, all bionators, just a bit higher and further.
Man, were we still young and fit 🤘😎
The highest peaks in the nearer Odenwald hemisphere were on today's plan: Neunkirchnerhöhe, Felsberg, Melibokus and, for apres, the Tannenberg and a bit more Geraffel.

Humped over the humps to the Waldhaus Obernburg. 😱🤘
After the last time I mainly drove on rather broader paths, today it was the other way around: TRAILS or hamster paths, as is occasionally blasphemed.
Trails and forest paths alternated wonderfully, so I couldn't get upset about the gravel at all.

This morning 6:15, at 14 degrees, was the start.🥱😎
It was a bit fresh but nice.
Not trailed today, but enjoyed the many views that opened up at almost every corner.
So to the south, in the direction of travel always on the left of the B38, then changed sides in the Ostertal and north again.

It was really bad weather today, much too warm for me and that's why I turned right halfway and went home.😱
And of course I'm going to be late too. 😴
Luckily I was able to ride a lot in the forest on chic paths and so everything was a bit more bearable. 😅

Today we moved the starting point to Lichtenberg in order to move our destination further west, i.e. Bensheim, and to keep the tour duration within limits.
Had enough on the speedometer.
So, from Lichtenberg down to Niedernhausen, up to the Nonroder Hütte and from there always keeping an eye on Lindenfels

This ride took me to Mömlingen, along many beautiful paths, some of which were quite overgrown, but I pushed through!
Where there is a will......
Because of my Hessian and Bavarian "friends" 😡 from the forest, I had to take a few detours and found some great paths 🥳. Eh.🤣

Everything is so beautifully green here, to quote Nina Hagen a bit.
It is truly a joy to zoom through the forest and across the fields early in the morning and at this time of year.
We only romped around in my immediate environment, there was nothing new, but a new mix of ups and downs.

That was a great tour with the Spessart Buben.
Thanks for the excellent planning to Andreas and Roland.
Great views and insights, you can't do anything about the weather.
But let's be honest, we're not sweethearts.
