My first short bike ride in about a year and a half. I was very glad I took the e-bike. The heat, the headwind, and not eating enough all took their toll at kilometer 30. Still, it was a mostly beautiful route with a few small "gravel adventures."

I planned a hike with a steep ascent and a flat descent so I could make the most of my dog's pulling power. You can take a break at the Scharnitzer Alm toward the end of the hike. A truly successful mix of singletrack and wide forest paths.

Finally, a short break from the rain for the first three days! I took advantage of this opportunity and set off. First, the route was flat along the Isar River, then a few small climbs on the other bank. A nice change of pace for such a short distance. The finale was a delicious cake in a very dog-friendly café 🤩

I chose the starting point because I bought some delicious bread in a small bakery there some time ago. Unfortunately this bakery no longer exists 😔
Luckily, this hike was so beautiful and varied that hiking was able to comfort me. Really a successful round.

The first part of the walk is really nice...always along the water.
Since I prefer running circular routes rather than simply returning the same way, I had to accept running next to a country road. That wasn't as nice. But there weren't really many alternatives. What courage, that courage.

Urk used to be an island. There is a small hiking route ("rondje Eiland Urk") along the former bank with information boards. Very nicely designed.

Since it was so hot during the day, we took the dinghy to the harbor at 5 a.m. and stretched our legs a bit. First through the small old town and then a few very steep climbs to the Madonna. But the view was worth it. We then returned through the olive groves and along the coast. Highly recommended
