    Nie najpiękniejszy park w Berlinie – ale mimo to zielone (i zakurzone) płuca Kreuzberga SO36. W międzyczasie reputacja nieco się poprawiła i latem rodziny znów spędzają popołudnia na łąkach parku.

    Ten podłużny teren zielony nie przypomina już o swoim dawnym znaczeniu. Kiedyś stał tu potężny dworzec czołowy, skąd pociągi jechały na południowy wschód i na Śląsk. Po podziale Niemiec i budowie muru stracił swoje znaczenie i w latach 60. XX wieku został stopniowo rozebrany. Od lat 80. XX wieku powstawał park, który kończy się przy zachowanym moście kolejowym nad kanałem Landwehrkanal, dziś przeznaczonym dla pieszych.
    Park jest potocznie nazywany również Görli.
