10/14/2019 - Ascent from the highest zone of the wall footpath to the plateau, which is reached near the Wilhelm-Eichert hut; extremely picturesque and rewarding in the lower part, rather monotonous in the upper part (unfortunately two thirds of the total height). Blue marking, entry board. Lower part (0+), one digit (I), upper part (0). Best access from Grünbach via Pension Seiser Toni. There is also variety with the cave crossing and short, simple climbing runs. Sure-footedness is a prerequisite for the tour. Downhill, the climb is much more uncomfortable, and it is more likely to be avoided in wet conditions. Overall, however, still an easy tour.

After a few meters you come to the passage cave. While the lowest third of the Appelsteig is completely dispensable, it is exactly the opposite with the "Zahmen Pecherl". Below very nice passages, the upper two thirds almost only a Schuttsteig.
