    This modern sculpture evokes the Virgin of the Head, patron saint of Andújar and the Diocese of Jaén. It was donated to the city by the Association of Friends of Heritage and created by sculptor Manuel López Pérez in a demonstration of creative skill that is difficult to quantify, as he uses metal as a construction element, imitating the real image cast in wood.
    It is temporarily placed in the courtyard of the town hall, awaiting its final placement in a suitable location for public viewing.
