The statue of Christ the King is a religious monument erected on the heights of Les Houches.

25 meters high and 500 tonnes of material strong, it overlooks the entire Chamonix valley at an altitude of 1,200 meters.

It is the second tallest statue in France after that of the Virgin of Mas Rillier in Ain, and has been listed as a historical monument since 2020.

Father Claude Marie Delassiat, parish priest of Les Houches since 1926, initiated the construction of this monumental statue, completed in one year (1933-34).
