    The Caspar David Friedrich monument has stood here since March 17, 2024 on the occasion of the painter's 250th birthday. The bronze statue was created by Thomas Jastram, financed by donations and supported by Insula Rugia e.V.
    Another statue will be erected on Cape Arkona later this year.
