Keep an eye out for interesting insects and reptiles, especially during warmer months. Always observe wildlife from a distance and avoid disturbing their natural habitat.

Visiting Karfi Summit in winter is possible but requires careful preparation. The elevation means it can be significantly colder than coastal areas, and snow is common, especially from December to March. Trails can become slippery or impassable. If planning a winter hike, check weather forecasts diligently, be prepared for icy conditions, and consider bringing appropriate gear like microspikes. It offers a unique, stark beauty but is best attempted by experienced winter hikers.
