The Monumento a los caídos en Malvinas (Monument of the Fallen in the Malvinas) is a monument in Plaza General San Martín, Buenos Aires, built to commemorate those who fell in the Falklands War (Guerra de las Malvinas).
Located in the part of the square facing Avenida del Libertador, the monument consists of 25 black marble slabs with the names of the 649 Argentine soldiers killed in the 1982 war. An Eternal Flame burns over a map of the Islas Malvinas (Falkland Islands).

The photos of the highlight are all incorrect, because only the commemorative plaques are meant, not the square with the tower! Misleading!

It is the second time I have been here in ten years. A very somber place for Argentinians to visit. It is in a nice setting, and a very respectful place.
