Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Saaremaa lies the Jämaja Kolmainu Church, a silent testimony to time and faith. The first sanctuary was built at this location as early as the 13th century, but it fell victim to fire. But the people of Saaremaa, steadfast and unshakable in their faith, built a new church in the 14th century that continues to defiantly withstand the elements to this day.

When entering this historic place, you can feel the gentle echoes of the past - from the magnificent 17th century Renaissance pulpit to the detailed relief depiction "Maarja kuulutus". A very special piece of jewelry is the church bell from the 19th century, which was cast from bronze in Russia and attracts hikers and cyclists alike with its melodic ringing. The gentle sound of the sea coming in through the windows has the theme of the impressive altarpiece "Aita mind, Issand!" inspired, which depicts Jesus and the apostle Peter.

If you are looking for a moment of silence and contemplation on your bike tour, Jämaja Kolmainu Church is the ideal place. Surrounded by a historic churchyard, this church offers a welcome oasis of peace. In summer, the song of the service is heard here every Sunday at 11 a.m., and in the cooler months this ritual is celebrated every two weeks and on special holidays.

It is worth getting off for a moment, putting the bike aside and pausing in this holy place, allowing yourself to be touched by the deep spirituality and continuing the tour with new energy and peace.
