    Unfortunately raw sewage is being pumped into the river further upstream. Water is not safe for children or pets anymore. 😡

    There are some lovely spots along the River Chess between Rickmansworth and Chesham where you can enjoy a scenic picnic on the riverbanks. This is a particularly lovely spot featuring flowing reedbeds, a slow-moving river, and plenty of grassy patches to pull up a picnic blanket.

    This is an incredibly beautiful spot for picnic and swim area for children.
    The water is clean and stunning. The water is about 20 inches deep and very safe for children to splash.
