The "Utkieker" is a bronze sculpture by the artist Hannes Helmke. It was inaugurated in June 2007 and is three and a half meters high. The sculpture stands on a viewing dune near the beach hall and looks towards the dunes and the sea. With a height of about 25 meters you have a beautiful vantage point, and in the evening you can easily observe the lighthouse of Wangerooge.
