    Wycieczki piesze

If you are on the Bayern Tower you can see far into Thuringia and Franconia. Steigerwald, Thuringian Forest or the Rhön can be seen. The Equal Mountains rise up as striking mountains, but the smaller ones are hidden, the Veste Coburg, the Veste Heldburg, the Straufhain, the Bleßberg or the Dolmar near Meiningen. It is really worth climbing the many steps.

Take a selfie and immortalize yourself on social networks. But don't forget to climb the tower. The all-round view is great, the euro entrance fee is worth it.

Is the Bayernturm suitable for families with young children or those with limited mobility?

While the area around the tower is generally accessible, reaching the viewing platform requires climbing 180 steps. This may be challenging for very young children or individuals with limited mobility. There are no elevators or ramps to the top. What is the historical significance of the Bayernturm beyond its panoramic views?

The Bayernturm holds significant historical importance as it was built directly on the former Inner German Border between West and East Germany. From its viewing platform, visitors could observe the border installations and the 'death strip' of the German Democratic Republic (DDR) during the Cold War.
