A church in Gehren was first mentioned in 1592. But today's church is a building from the 18th century. The lower part of its eastern pediment consists of parts of a medieval fieldstone church, while the pediment consists of more modern half-timbering with brick infill. The striking, elongated spire is covered with wooden shingles. The interior is of baroque origin.

Once a year, a Low German service takes place here, where both the songs and the sermon "uff flat" are recited.

Today's church is a "new building" from the 18th century, probably built on the foundations and with the building materials of a previous medieval church. The east gable and tower tower with bell house are half-timbered. A small entrance porch with a display gable was added on the south side in the 19th century.
Once a year there is a service in the Low German language in this beautiful church, with all texts and songs, even the sermon, being held in this dialect.

Gehren was first mentioned in the Uckermark in 1592.
At that time, the church could already have stood as a late medieval stone church without a tower.
Gehren was owned by the von Rieben family from Galenbeck until 1620.
Then it went into the possession of Otto Ihlenfeld from neubrandenburg.
Gehren later returned to the von Rieben family.
In 1659 the parish was moved from Galenbeck to Gehren.

In the 18th century probably around 1760, the church was extensively rebuilt and expanded.
At this time the lattice tower was put on the west gable.
The lower part, the bell chamber, is square.
The top is octagonal. The compartments are filled with bricks.
The lower part of the spire begins with an octagonal dome.
The spire is elongated, cone-like. The top of the tower is covered with wooden shingles. On the top of the tower we see a star, below it a weathercock and a ball.

The lower part of the eastern gable consists of the medieval stone church.
Above we see a half-timbered gable with brick filling.
The only window (choir window) has a yellow one
painted arched frame.
As the window itself, we see two pointed arches filled with diamond-like panes. On the north and south sides we have three windows painted yellow. The middle window on the north side has a special stained glass display that is only visible from the inside.

On the south side we have an entrance made of field stones
star-like octagonal figure above the front door.
