The starting point of the route is near the Reconstruction Lake located near the bridge at the Caprioara restaurant. From here one climbs on a winding path through the forest to the first meadow where the locals come in summer and stand on the green grass and barbecue. Then, the path climbs more and more steeply through the forest, sometimes intersecting with the forest road along which we enter slowly, slowly in the wild beauty of nature.
The Cernegura hill that runs in the southwest part of the city of Piatra Neamt is covered with the most dense and varied vegetation so that the road to the top represents a real challenge. Although the route is not marked it is easy to find: you have no way to get lost. The trail is beaten by hundreds of tourists, lovers of hiking, who come year after year and enjoy the peace and charm of the forest.
At the beginning of the route you will be greeted by the deciduous forests where you will find specimens of beech, birch, hornbeam, oak, cherry, apple and poplar. Along with these you will find shrubs like mace, horn and peanut but also numerous species of grasses, flowers and plants characteristic of the steppe.
On the way, on your return you can use the spring that cuts your way with a cup of clean and cold mountain water. Then you will enter the magic of the forest again and do not realize when the time passes and you are back in the city.
