    At 129 meters above sea level, the second highest elevation in the Lüneburg Heath with good paths, great views and plenty of seating. There is also a parking lot nearby.

      With its proud 129 m above sea level, the Brunsberg is hardly suitable for altitude records. The great view of the unique heathland, on the other hand, is record-breaking beautiful! You should also treat yourself to a sunset. Or the New Year's Eve visit. or a bike tour but also kite flying is good here in autumn. The annual Brunsberg Run is also a great event for young and old; to run along or just to watch. The Brunsberg can be reached from all sides within 20 minutes.

      The Höllenschluchtweg also runs over the Brunsberg, an exciting dry valley in the forest that is ideal for a short hike from Brunsberg. Also ideal for scavenger hunts with children. Take a look at an overview map "Worth seeing".

      A lot of young people meet here on Father's Day. Unfortunately, you leave a lot of rubbish behind. That is then disposed of by volunteers in the days after.

                    The Brunsberg is an approximately 129 meters high elevation of the Lohberge, the southern part of the Black Mountains, on the northwest edge of the Lüneburg Heath.

                    From Brunsberg the view over adjacent heathlands to the south to the Wilseder mountain (169.2 m) and the Heide Park Soltau falls. Towards the southwest one sees the Johanneskirche in Tostedt. The view towards Hamburg is blocked by the Harburg Mountains, the northern part of the Black Mountains.

                    The eponymous name for the mountain is an incident in which two shepherds, Bruns and Harms, came to the idea of keeping the sheep out of boredom "once to play hanging" - which paid Bruns his life.

                                      At 129 m above sea level, the Brunsberg is the second highest elevation in the Lüneburg Heath, alongside the Wilseder Berg (169.2 m).
                                      While the Wilseder Berg is very often overcrowded, the Brunsberg is almost an insider tip. When we were there on a sunny day when the heather was in bloom, we only met one other hiker.

                                      In ideal conditions, you have a wonderful view from the Brunsberg.
