From Niederbipp you don't have to expect any difficulties. Here it is just as flat as in Holland. Have you ever been to Holland? There are actually no days when the wind doesn't blow. It's the same at this level, so expect headwinds and be happy if you have tailwinds.

That will be funny! From the power station you have many options. However, preferably choose the right bank of the river. It's also possible to go left, but the paths don't run as consistently along the river and you occasionally have to use a road.

The next section of the route meanders between the cantons of Bern and Lucerne to the birthplace of e-bikes in Huttwil. The brook Rot is very dreamy here, and you can count on several pretty paths and barbecue areas.

Now it's time to get down to business. With almost 500 meters of altitude, this path has to be climbed first. But the maple is a great vantage point. The Oberaargau, the Bernese Mittelland, the Lucerne hinterland and the Emmental lie at your feet.

This section of the route is bumpy. For the trail from the Ahorn I recommend a suspension bike. Of course it is also possible with other bikes, but you will probably run alongside and accompany the bike down the mountain.

We want to take it easy on the heights of the Jura and stroll along the Aare in the direction of Siggern. The dreamy creek is the start for the upcoming meters in altitude. Enjoy the fire pit at the river mouth before heading up to our Jura.

The hiking trail leads you over the Kammersrohr in the direction of Hofbergli. I can highly recommend a detour to the restaurant (the Chäsbärgli are a speciality).
