According to some scientists of the medieval fortress never has not in this place; from the other side - on the contrary - castle exist and function as one of the border forts included in the historic Kwisa district. According to tradition - and this version we remain - stood here in the Middle Ages hunting lodge, which was transformed as a result of expansion into a fortress called Nietburg. We do not know who stuck in this project, or who lived here - the only, albeit not very reliable ad our old application may be, robber barons Jobst of Kolditz Paradise as a host directory, lead to these areas adventurous life and extortion. The object was probably destroyed in 1431 by the Hussites, by raiding through here past the Upper Lusatia and then decay abandoned.

Castle street after more than 400 years interlude occurred in the second half of the nineteenth century by the owner of a nearby palace in Biedrzychowice - Italian Count Alexander of Minutoli, a great lover, collector and art connoisseur. In 1863 he bought an old monument and in the years until 1878 1875 led to its reconstruction in neo-Gothic style of the Rhineland, the original details stone arches, stucco, marble, sandstone and elements of metalworking. The whole premise of usable space of approx. 250 meters2 was surrounded by a wall that gave it the appearance of a medieval fortified building. At the foot of the romantic ruins of Minutoli stone staircase allows free descent to the shore Kwisa. Inside he collected and shared their rich collection of Venetian glass and ceramics, antique bowls and jugs, African masks, military, furniture and paintings by famous artists such as Albrecht Durer, Rembrandt Paolo Veronese. During the revolutionary riots in 1919, Rajsko was occupied and destroyed by local peasants - during these turbulent events part of the collection was lost, and what was saved was transferred to the palace. After the death of his daughter Anna Graf von Pfeil in 1925 to 30 years in a building leased lubońskiemu branch of the German Association of Youth Hostels.
